ABOUT US

Far Fetched Pets' foundational service, Playgroup, has been serving Manhattan's Upper West Side tight-knit canine community for over a decade. Founded by certified (CCPTD - KA), active dog trainer and behaviorist Sam Gedymin, Playgroup straddles the important line between dog walking and day care, as it is Sam's belief that dogs have a natural rhythm to their daily life. All Far Fetched Pets services, including Playgroup, Adventure Walks, and Training align with this core concept to provide a fun, supervised environment where dogs can "be themselves", socialize, exercise, and learn for an amount of time that is appropriate and health-promoting. We love our clients at Far Fetched Pets, and can't wait to invite you and your furry friends into our family of dedicated trainers and caregivers.

SERVICES

Playgroup

Our signature service, Playgroup operates Monday-Friday, providing clients outstanding service for their beloved dogs. The dogs are picked up in groups of as many as 4 per handler, and the handlers work in pairs at the local dog runs in order to ensure the safest environment. This 2.5 hour party is guaranteed to have your dog tired out and satisfied! Adventure Walks

This service is for those dogs who need socialization and exercise, but don't prefer the dog park experience. Dogs are walked for up to 2 hours in packs of as many as 4, provided the group dynamic is completely safe. Handlers will visit the many interesting sights our incredible parks have to offer! Training

Along with traditional by-the-hour private training, we at Far Fetched Pets offer additional, holistic, dog training programs across NYC with comprehensive packages. Designed with over a decade of real-world experience, our programs combine Certified Trainer Sessions with hands-on training modules led by seasoned dog handlers. Whether you want to participate in the training or prefer to sit back and relax, our dedicated staff will take care of the heavy lifting for you! Starting with a 30-minute intake session with our founder, Sam Gedymin, we are here to provide the innovative training solutions you've been looking for at highly competitive rates.
